What Grooms should do the Week of the Wedding

Brides

YAY! Wedding Season is officially here for me and it makes me SO excited!! As you might have noticed, a couple weeks ago I posted What Brides should do the Week of the Wedding and now this time the spotlight is on the groom! Enjoy!!

  • Get a haircut!  I highly recommend getting your haircut at least a week before the wedding. This way, if the trim is too close, this will leave time to let it grow out.
  • Go pick up your tux…and TRY it on! There have been a couple times when the tux does not fit properly and unfortunately the day of there is not much we can do!
  • Write your Vows! I typically recommend writing these way before a week until your wedding but just in case you haven’t here is your last reminder 🙂 Another tip: send them to your pastor or officiant because it is great to have a second pair of eyes read over them!
  • Confirm times with all your groomsmen.  When you’re meeting to pick up tuxes, when everyone is suppose to arrive for the rehearsal, and then again the morning of the wedding.
  • Check with your parents to make sure that everything is all set for rehearsal dinner.
  • Pack for your Honeymoon and make sure you have all the essentials such as passports, licenses, money, and your suitcases.
  • Plan something special for your bride for the wedding day. This doesn’t have to be extravagant but something that let’s your bride know how much you can’t wait to start forever with her. Some ideas include a heartfelt letter, a piece of jewelry, or a sentimental item.
  • Be there for your bride! The last month is typically the most stressful and just by giving your ear to listen, or contributing your help with last minute details can make such a difference! Extra tip: Massages always help relive the knots and stress! 🙂

This is just a short list to get you started, I know there are plenty more tasks that could be added. If you thought of others, feel free to leave them in the comments below!

xoxo,
