Date Night Idea’s | In the Winter

Brides

With Valentine’s Day being this week, I thought this would be the perfect time to make this blog go live!! As I’m sure you all know by now, I absolutely love date nights and highly recommend spending quality time with your fiancé/spouse as much as possible (because let’s face it nothing beats getting dressed up and spending time with your loved one!) Winter is sometimes the hardest season to make date nights happen because of the colder weather so, I figured it would be helpful to have a list to make it easier to plan 🙂

  1. Visit Lake Michigan and hopefully you’ll catch it while it’s FROZEN! It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
  2. Try a new recipe out or book a cooking class! Brian and I went to a gelato making class last year and it was so fun and not to mention extremely tasty. I can’t take the credit for this one my tauri baum brides definitely recommended this!
  3. Channel your inner childhood and build a fort. Perfect way to have a movie night! Don’t forget the snacks and popcorn 🙂
  4. Have a game night – play card games, Jenga, checkers, twister, etc. Make it more fun and create prizes to whoever wins!
  5. Visit a city you both have never been too and be tourists! Find all of the BEST things in the city and enjoy them together! This is one of my favorite dates!! I love visiting new places 🙂
  6. Go snowboarding, skiing, or ice skating! Brian and I have already been snowboarding this winter and it’s not only great for working out but it’s such a great way to spend time together.
  7. Go to a concert! This is Brian’s favorite date!!
  8. Book a warm vacation and start dreaming and planning!! A great excuse to buy a new swimsuit, right?! 😉
  9. Head to the Dave and Buster’s to get your arcade game on!
  10. Go dancing! You can take a class (ballroom, salsa, hip hop etc) or just go out for an evening of dancing at your local bar!
  11. Be a tourist in your own city! Brian and I often forget about the amazing places we have right here in Grand Rapids! There are so many cute boutiques, cafes, juice bars, bakeries, ect. that we have never tried and as I mentioned above; I love checking out new places! If you’ve never been go to the igloos (Outside Coffee Co) in Grand Rapids you should check it out and enjoy a cup of coffee in a heated igloo!
  12. I’ll add the most common winter date night too; head to your local theatre and watch a movie!

Hope you enjoyed reading this! I can’t wait for you all to enjoy a date night out! 🙂

xo,
