This is the first time I’ve ever done a blog like this but I thought it would be a fun way to help brides and grooms as they plan out their wedding day theme/style. These are real weddings from my 2019 Tauri Baum Bride’s & Groom’s! As you can tell the time of year, the weather, the colors/tones, lighting and background play such a vital part in your photography. As well as the photographers style, too! Tauri Baum Couples – we will definitely talk about locations prior to your wedding day, so no need to worry about that! 🙂

Whether you’re working with a wedding planner or doing it on your own, it’s important to have visuals of what you like, from flowers to fabric swatches. When you have a general idea of what you want, all the decisions you have to make really fall into place. And since you’ll be working with a lot of different vendors, like florists and caterers, you’ll be asked frequently for examples of what you like. The best way to tell them is to refer to your inspiration board, which I recommend creating on Pinterest! It’s an easy way to see what you like or don’t like! When you start pinning for your wedding, consistent patterns will start to reveal themselves and you should notice a common theme such as decor, colors and flower choices.

To help you get started here are just a couple things to consider for your board:

• color palettes and patterns
• stationery
• bridal details (dress, style, veil, etc)
• fabrics (table linens and drapery)
• cakes and desserts
• flower arrangements
• fashion (bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen)
