This is one of my favorite weddings to date simply because no matter how gorgeous it was to look at, these two prioritized each other & their people more than anything. If you spend any time with them at all, you will see this so clearly.
Every single time I talked with Kerry, it was all positive. Even when they got the call their venue had been struck by lighting and they’d have to move the wedding reception to another location! Kerry & I squealed way too many times about little details, such as sunset slushies, all the way to dreaming about Bo (their dog) being the ring bearer. I’m sad just thinking about how I won’t be getting weekly updates about the new wedding plans, but that’s okay, because maybe they’ll keep me updated on the amazing time being married (because nothing beats being married to your best friend!) 🙂
Everything Kerry & Riley did was intentional. They incorporated their loved ones in so well, and had so many personal touches that I was in awe of. Never have I ever teared up that many times at a wedding (or actually seen that many people cry during personal vows). This blog and these words will never, ever do their wedding justice.
A couple of my favorite memories from the day were hearing Kerry tell any one and every one she saw, “I’m getting married to my best friend today!” (she was so happy and it showed!!), Riley’s joyful tears as he saw his bride walking down the isle, their perfect personal vows, how they had a boutonniere on the seat they saved for her dad at the ceremony (his presence was felt all day!), the beautiful poem Kerry’s brothers came up with (a wedding tradition Kerry’s done at her brother’s weddings) and the brother’s passing Kerry off to Riley after their first dances. This doesn’t even begin to cover it all so I’ll just have to continue to share it all for the next 100 years 😉
And after all this, if while scrolling through their blog, Kerry & Riley make you smile, give you the urge to dance, perhaps marry your BFF, be friends with them and buy a dog or two, I really can’t blame ya. 😉
Kerry & Riley, I cannot, truly cannot thank you enough for trusting Brian and I with your day. There is nothing more we cherish than ya’ll! Brian and I kept looking over at each other all day long exchanging glances and smiling so big! Not only are you an exceptional couple, but you treat people so well! You care deeply about your friends, family, and each other so much and it shows! Your hearts are huge and you radiate positivity! Something I know will always remain, because no matter what was thrown at you, ya’ll handled it with such grace and joy! We love you guys so much!! I am so excited to share this preview of your wedding day with ya’ll!! Enjoy xo
P.S. I changed all of “you guys” to “ya’ll” just for you 😉
