Tips for a Stress Free Wedding Day

Wedding

  1. Be strategic with your schedule
    • I always create a custom timeline for my couples. Planning out the timing of your wedding day is one of the most important things when it comes to getting the wedding photos you want. I know the time it takes for the kinds of wedding images you are looking for. I work with you to create the best timeline for your wedding day. So, let’s work together to be strategic with your schedule, find out how long you need for certain events, schedule in travel time, and add in cushion time, just in case!
  2. Prepare ahead of time
    • I always provide my #tauribaumbride’s a list of bridal details, that way they can   have everything in one place so I can immediately get to work! I always begin the day styling your bridal details that help tell your wedding story. This ranges from your wedding dress all the way to sentimental details such as your grandma’s pearls. The more prepared you are the better it is for you so I don’t have to waste time tracking down these items!
  3. Communicate with others
    • Need your mom dressed and ready by 11am to help you get your dress on? Need your grandparents to head to a specific location for family portraits? Want your bridal party to stick around after the ceremony? Tell them! This is one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give you. It is SO important to communicate to every single person involved.  This makes the schedule flow better and keeps us ahead (which is always a good thing!). It takes a lot of time to track down individuals which can lead to us falling behind. Over communicate and I promise your day will run so smoothly 🙂
  4. Hire great vendors and trust them!
    • Hiring professionals you can trust makes a world of difference! And once you’ve done your research, found recommended professionals, hired them and shared your vision with them, trust them fully! Giving your trust allows wedding professionals to do what they do best. To be allowed to work creativity and share their talents to make your day all that you’ve envisioned! This makes your day run smoother and you are able to do #5 🙂 Hire everyone from your wedding planner and photographer to your caterer and florist because you love them…and then trust they are great at what they do! If you need any recommendations on vendors, I’d love to send you some of my favorites!
  5. Take moments to relax and be present
    • You will literally blink and the day you spent an entire year (give or take) planning is over. I encourage my couples to take moments together (especially a first look) and soak in every moment! So, hold hands, look at each other’s rings, cherish and listen intently to those commitments you made to each other, and hug each other as much as you can! Portraits and the first look (especially) is a time I encourage my couples can be fully present with each other to kiss each other, hold each other and look into their eyes. This also makes even greater pictures and a beautiful memory to look back on because you can remember all of those feelings.

It’s so important to set yourself up for success and it’s also important to make time for each other. I want you to not be focused on your flowers, linens, or any wedding day details and to focus on who you are about to marry. I want you to experience a marriage more beautiful than your wedding and if you use these tips you’ll be on your way to a beautiful stress free day!

xoxo,
