Since I am a pet fanatic I thought it was only necessary to help others decide how to include their pets in their wedding process. Here are a few suggestions:
- Use your pet to propose
- Include your pet in your engagement photos
- Include your pet in your wedding photos
- Allow your pet to be the ring bearer/flower girl
- Have your pet stand by your side at the alter
- Carry your pet down the isle instead of your bouquet
- Include your pet’s name in your vows
- Customize your cake topper with a photo of you, your fiancé, and your pet
- Allow your pet to be a prop at the photo booth
I am sure you all know by now, but if not… I am absolutely in love with my dog, Kya!! She is the cutest little white Havmalt (Havanese & Maltese) and has won over our hearts! My husband proposed with her on our anniversary almost two years ago! (Isn’t he the sweetest and most thoughtful man!) She has been such a big part of our lives that we included her in our engagement photos and of course our wedding (She was there with us for the entire day; from getting ready to dancing the night away!) To say she was exhausted was an understatement! We heard she slept for days while we were on our honeymoon! J I hope this inspires other brides to incorporate their fur babies into such an important time in their lives. xo.
