There’s something pretty special about photographing people you know. Of course, I always want to do my job well for everyone, but as I always preach the more you can get to know a couple and their story… the better you can capture their love! Which is why this session was such an honor! I’ve known Katie for 13 years and she’s always been a big part of my life (she was also in Brian and I’s wedding). She’s my husband’s cousin and I’ve photographed many stages of her life, including her senior year! I’m just so excited to have been asked to capture their beautiful engagement session! I adore them and am so pumped to have Jake officially join the family! If you know him, you know how sincere and kind he is – such a treasure!

My sentimental photographer heart really can’t handle this! This really means a lot to me when people I love ask me to capture them, it’s one of the best compliments I can receive. I mean it with my whole heart! So, thank you Katie & Jake!
