This day, this couple, the weather, the worship, the love, the joy. Everything about this day was a DREAM.

When I first met with Mackenzie & Drew they talked about how they wanted a simple evening wedding. A day that was focused on conversations, joy, and simplicity. They stayed true to their vision and it was one of the most relaxing weddings I’ve ever witnessed. December 8 – had such a refreshing feel through out the entire day. We were able to capture the JOY that never left their faces, the LOVE they have for the Lord, their BEAUTIFUL friends and family who traveled near and far and the powerful CELEBRATION that took place.

We had the pleasure to chat with Drew’s dad for a little bit and he mentioned how great of a match Mackenzie and Drew are (we could not agree more!). He told us about how Drew lived in Arizona, but decided to come to Grand Rapids to study at Aquinas. By being in Grand Rapids it led him Mackenzie. As he was telling us this story, we were watching a slideshow of them as kids. His dad mentioned how crazy it was Mackenzie and Drew were doing the same things just on different sides of the world. As we continued to watch the slideshow – it was amazing how true that was. The Lord made Drew for Mackenzie and Mackenzie for Drew. BEAUTIFUL.

One thing I adore about Mackenzie and Drew is they ALWAYS make each other laugh. I literally felt like a fly on the wall as I captured the pure joy they had. It’s such a gift to witness such beautiful people and their unique love stories!!

Mackenzie & Drew, I could cry tears of joy because of how much we enjoyed your day, spending time with you and your loved ones, and capturing your JOY! I love how connected and engaging you two are, how you both have this way of making people feel so at home and at ease, and how close we’ve grown over this short period of time. We can’t thank you enough for the honor of capturing your love story! December 8, 2018 is a day we will never forget!! Thank you again and congratulations newlyweds! Love this belt detail on her beautiful dress! Mackenzie got ready at her home and it was perfect! This light colored room was PERFECT! So much LOVE filled this room!! We literally were laughing all day long and it was the BEST day! Obsessed with this and the power behind this image. They braved the cold and I am so glad they did! LOVE!
