This post has been a long time coming. We had the opportunity to visit four BEAUTIFUL islands of Hawaii this past May for our anniversary trip and I’m excited to share part TWO of four with you today! The second island we visited was Maui, Hawaii. If you missed part one (Oahu), you can view it here.
We flew into Honolulu (Oahu) and were there for a couple of days. Then, we boarded a cruise ship in Honolulu and sailed to the remaining islands. Our final destination was Kauai, which we stayed there for four additional days. We were in Hawaii for a total of two weeks and to be honest we could of stayed longer! There is so much to see!!
*These photos are a mix of iPhone and my big girl camera 😉
One thing we did on every single island is we ate so well!! I am not even kidding when I tell you they have the BEST restaurants!! SO GOOD! One of our wedding couples went to Maui (for their honeymoon) right before us so they gifted us with a gift card to their favorite restaurant. If you go to Hawaii you must go to Monkey Pod, asap!! 🙂Â
Thanks for lunch and Mai Tai’s, Frank & Rene!! We are still so grateful for you two!Â
Brian’s only request of the entire trip 😉 To play golf at Kapalua Golf Course.
The course had amazing views, however, it was on the wet side of the island so my mom and I let the guys golf and we went to find the sun and shop 🙂
The views will never get old!!
While Brian & my dad golfed, my mom and I stopped by the Island Cream Co. because it was highly recommended by a few people. They weren’t wrong – so delicious!Â
We also explored the town and as we were going back to get the guys – we saw this rainbow!! So pretty!
We stayed in port for two days on Maui and could come and go as we pleased!Â
The crazy thing about the islands of Hawaii is usually there is a rainy side and sunny side. This was the rainy side of Maui and to be honest we didn’t stay here too long, haha!
It was so worth seeing the sea turtles though!!
At first we thought they were black rocks until we got closer!
This guy was too funny! I called him like I call our dog and he looked up right at me!
We celebrated our anniversaries at Mama’s Fish House – it’s pricey but definitely worth every penny!
We then found the sun and laid out on the beach until we had to board the ship again!
xo,
