Our Trip To Kauai, Hawaii | Part Four

Personal

We had the opportunity to visit four BEAUTIFUL islands of Hawaii this past May for our anniversary trip and I’m excited to share part FOUR of four with you today! The last island we visited was the island of Kauai. Hands down, our favorite island!! If you missed part one (Oahu), you can view it here , part two (Maui), here, or part three (The Big Island of Hawaii), here.

We were in Hawaii for a total of two weeks and to be honest we could of stayed longer! There is so much to see!!

*These photos are a mix of iPhone and my big girl camera 😉

When we first arrived we went paddle boarding, explored the area and laid out in the sun!  Brian & I had lunch at this food truck because everyone highly recommended Hawaii’s food trucks. We looked this one up specifically and it had great reviews! It was delicious!Grateful my parents came along so we could have our anniversary photos taken in Hawaii!! A dream of mine! We were blessed with the most beautiful rainbow! It was SO cool!! If you missed our three anniversary photo session from Hawaii – you can view them HERE!My flower crown was made by the amazingly talented, Elvrine of  Heavenly Hakus (@kauaiflowercrowns)! I found her on instragram and it happened to work out that she would be a farmers market close to us the next day! So grateful how it all came together perfectly!! We went to Smith’s Family Luau because when you go to Hawaii you must go to one, right? We saw chickens fight, haha!We captured beautiful scenery! Look at how adorable my parents are!! This is how they cook the pig for the Luau, underneath the ground.   The dinners and views were amazing! We ate so well! We knew this prior to going but the food is more expensive in Hawaii (which makes sense because they are an island). But just a heads up, in case you’re planning on visiting! Another AMAZING dinner view and DELICIOUS food!!! Check out Sam’s Ocean View Restaurant! We stopped and got frozen yogurt and I didn’t regret it one bit 😉 We had coffee every single morning at Java Kai while we were on Kauai! Love this little coffee shop so much and highly recommend visiting!!  We also got chocolate from a farmers market and it was SO GOOD! We ended up buying in bulk and took some home with us 🙂 Check out Moloa’a Bay Chocolate! Their dessert chocolate is delicious! The Monkey Pod & Merriman’s Mai Tai’s are the best ones out there! We hiked down to the bottom of the Wailua Falls and it was breathtaking!!!  The Waimea Canyon and it’s views are AMAZING! It’s so similar to the Grand Canyon but all green! There are so many waterfalls through out the canyon and Brian & I hiked to some of them!  Pictures don’t do it justice!  I can’t handle how gorgeous this island is!  This is the bottom of the waterfall! It was a muddy, steep climb but we made it 😉  The next day Brian and I hiked to smaller waterfalls! This is inside of the Waimea Canyon! So pretty! This sea turtle came on shore at a local beach! And the same with this guy! So crazy they don’t mind all of the people around!! He was so entertaining to watch!! LOL at my dad! I think he wanted to be like me 😉  Highly recommend spending time at Hanalei Bay! Love my momma! SO PRETTY! I hope you enjoyed these posts! We loved sharing our adventures with you all! Please let me know if you have specific questions about any of the islands. We know we loved all the advice, recommendations, and tips when we were planning our adventure so we’d love to do the same 🙂
